Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our interview time was at 11:00 AM. The place was very easy to find but the parking wasn't so easy. Good thing was that we got there about 30min early just to be sure. Also, it helped that we only live like 15 min away from the place. We found a meter and fed it for 2 hours, just cause we didn't want to run in and out for the meter.

Including the security check at the door, everything went very smooth. Everybody at the office (including the security personels) was very pleasant and extremely helpful. My husband and I weren't really concerned or nervous about the interview but the people that we may have to deal with. (thinking people at DMV, you know what i mean?)

First, we were called in right at 11 O'Clock and we were greeted by a very sweet and nice IO. We were swore in and the interview began. She asked us basic original documents - birth certificates, marriage license, passports and etc. Then she asked us about how we met and when we were married an... read complete review

Arrived at the Federal Building, walked into the Citizen & Immigration Office and the room was packed. I thought, oh great, they want us here early to sit and wait. Anyhow, I was worried that the parking meter would run out as I only put in enough for an hour. So, I rushed back to the car a block away and by the time I returned, we were being called in.

The IO escourted us through an office filled with cubicles and areas separated by partitions. The first order of business before we could be seated was to be sworn in, pledging to tell the whole truth.

The IO asked for us to provide our identification (my Driver's License and his Mexican Passport). We were then seated and the IO began flipping through our 3" thick file so quickly, I thought he would rip the pages. He would flip, stop on a page, flip back to the front, check mark one of the boxes then begin flipping frantically.

Questions asked:

What date did you enter the U.S... read complete review

Review Topic: General Review

I am pleased to announce that we had a suucessful AOS interview yesterday!

I would say that tt was much easier and faster than my interview in Manila. The officer was a kind and gentle lady. After having us swear to tell the truth, she went over our file which she had prepared in a long folder, confirming our demographics, name, bday, place of birth, etc, my phone number here in the US.

The only things she took were bills we had together (auto insurance for us) and 2 or 3 pictures. Basically it seemed like she was just gathering evidence that were not previosuly submitted with the I485 petition, and maybe since our docs were quite new there was no need for her to get the new ones we brought such as an updated I864.

She asked a few simple questions too like where did we meet, how long have we been a couple, did we have a reception, and other similar questions. She also asked to see our rings if we had any.

BTW, i... read complete review
